Data-based urban planning, economic development and services for people: case Unacast x Telia.
Kristofer is the Head of Data Insights at Telia’s Division X. He is passionate about unleashing the power of data to create better cities and services matching the needs of society and companies alike.
Artificial Intelligence is a long term interest and he’s enjoying the rapid development of using it for several services that cities can benefit from. Kristofer has over 20 years of experience within analytics and technology in a variety of different start-ups, larger companies and consultancies in Europe and the US.
Cities all strive to be the best place to live, work and visit. But many cities lack the detailed insights needed to make the most of their investments in infrastructure, services, events etc. Telia Crowd Insights is location intelligence based on anonymized and aggregated mobility data automated from Telia Company’s network, with the largest coverage in the Nordics. It makes the whole concept of the Smart City come alive for real as cities can improve the urban experience providing an accurate way to measure and show crowd movement patterns. This enables data-driven and sustainable city development decisions for cities to make better use of their resources and to measure impact on city investments, making sure that they develop in a way that meet the actual needs. From public transport to urban planning, when services and facilities are based on real needs rather than guesswork, the result is a better everyday experience for all of us.
Co-operation is key to do this. Kristofer Ågren will join the stage with Kjartan Slette from Unacast.
Kjartan and Kristofer will talk about how cities can make data-based decisions within urban planning, transportation and tourism and let you see the silver lining of using aggregated mobility data. Read more at Telia’s website (link: iot.teliacompany.com/cvi)
