How can places help attract talent for companies? How can places create financial and social value?

Urban Escape connects five houses, four streets, two squares and a mall, creating a unique place where people, ideas and possibilities flow

Urban Escape began with a very simple question asked in 2011: what are the major challenges companies face today? After interviewing 150 companies it was clear that attracting the right employees was on the very top of the list.

To be an attractive employer they need to offer an attractive environment. Not just the office but also the surrounding area where you can find inspiration, relaxation and solve your practical everyday issues.

To achieve that AMF Fastigheter has opened rooftops, upgraded Brunkebergstorg in collaboration with the City of Stockholm, established two new lifestyle hotels and is remodelling the iconic shopping mall Gallerian. These different functions and traditionally disparate parts have been integrated into a seamless environment making it an attractive place for companies to be. This has attracted companies such as Spotify, Microsoft, Isabella Löwengrip and WeWork and created new public urban spaces.

Mats will talk about how to create new meeting places that provide value for society and for businesses.
