Host this year: Oslo, Norway

Raymond Johansen

What others could learn from the European Green Capital 2019.

Raymond Johansen, Governing Mayor of Oslo

Since 2015, Raymond Johansen has been at the helm of a city that has been undergoing an inspiring and radical shift towards a better urban environment. Oslo is the European Green Capital 2019. It ranked first on eight out of 12 award categories, now a cycling city in the making, a city with much improved public transport, less pollution from cars, more infrastructure for electric vehicles, piloting emission free construction sites – and much more.

Oslo’s ambition is to be a testbed for green solutions and create a platform for sharing of experiences among cities.

Has Oslo lived up to the promise? What are the specific solutions that Oslo can bring to the rest of the world, to accelerate the green transition and help fight the climate crisis while improving the quality of life for our citizens and gearing our cities for green growth?

Raymond will talk about what others could learn from Oslo, the European Green Capital 2019.
